This week sees the US Annual Thanksgiving day which  occurs on the third Thursday of November. This day, which is celebrated as a family occasion as much as Christmas is in the UK, sees traditional food such as Turkey and Pumpkin Pie eaten in celebration/remembrance of the Pilgrim Fathers and the early settlers.

Whilst Thanksgiving is not celebrated much in the UK, recent years have seen the adoption of the US equivalent of what we call the Boxing Day sales, although 'Black Friday' seems to go on rather longer than just the one day.!

Happy Holidays!.
